I decided very early in life that I wanted to be a dentist. It’s been all I expected and so much more! I love the relationships that develop between my patients, my staff, and myself. Many of our patients have been with me since the day I opened the doors of this practice and now I care for their kids and grandkids. My patients feel like a large, extended family; we have celebrated many weddings and births over the years, and mourned some losses, as well.

I am a strong proponent of continuing education for all professionals, but especially for those of us in the oral healthcare field. Science and technology are changing quickly and it is essential to stay in the forefront of the developing processes and treatment options. I have traveled from coast-to-coast and as far away as London, San Francisco, Chicago, St. Louis, and Atlanta to further my knowledge. I attended the Nobel Biocare International Symposium in New York in 2013 and the 2013 American Dental Association Annual Meeting in New Orleans, too. Multiple times I have taken my entire staff to meetings as far away as San Francisco, knowing that it will help them stay current and informed. I am committed to continually learning as my team and I strive to bring world-class dentistry to Oklahoma, in order to provide our patients with the best that dentistry has to offer. We also subscribe to the best online continuing education service available – Spear Education, which is always available with the cutting edge, new, proven clinical updates for me and my staff at our convenience.

I have called Oologah home for over 35 years, but I was born and raised in Pawnee, OK. I am married to the love of my life, Terri Jo. Together, we have three living children and one son who is at home with the Lord. Our children have blessed us with eleven grandchildren (so far!) and they are amazing and wonderful.
In my free hours, I love traveling, backpacking, outdoor grilling, woodworking, and occasionally golf. My most pleasurable pastime is spending time with my sweet wife, and family. I am very active in my church – The Bible Church of Owasso. It is a great place to learn, serve, and enjoy wonderful relationships.
COMMITMENT TO COMMUNITY
I believe in giving back to and supporting our community, knowing that together we can do great things. I have filled multiple offices with the Oologah Chamber of Commerce and served on the Oologah-Talala School Board for 20 years. Over the years I have been involved with numerous community activities and have chaired several, as well as being involved with Pioneer days, the Annual Halloween Carnival, the Annual Chamber of Commerce Banquet, in addition to activities with the Oologah Historical Society. I am a past state chairman for National Children’s Dental Health Month and we are currently working with the National Children’s Oral Health Foundation (America’s Tooth Fairy) to help teen age kids through the Tomorrow’s Smile program. I have been one of their Doctors of Distinction in the past and would love to help more in the future! If you know of a deserving teen that needs dental help, go to their web site at www.ncohf.org. I am also working with a local group called Recovering Smiles. This involves doing full mouth restorations for recovering addicts. For many that have lost multiple front teeth, this is a powerful part of helping them restore their life.
